DELISOIL at the International conference series FoodRevolution®
Annamaria Bevivino, WP2 Leader of DELISOIL project, participated as invited speaker at the international conference series FoodRevolution® “Driving the transition to a sustainable, safe, and healthy food future”.
The conference was held at Paganini Congressi in Parma, Italy and focused on a holistic approach toward a sustainable food future, contemplating a comprehensive view of the interconnections between sustainability, safety and health. Innovation, new (bio)technologies, digital tools, artificial intelligence, etc. will transform the food chain from farm to table, in line with the One Health approach.
Each session was introduced by independent experts and well-known opinion leaders from the academic world and/or from a consultancy company, giving a clear picture of the necessary changes and setting reasonable goals for the near future. In the Plenary Session I: Towards a sustainable, safe, and healthy food future, Annamaria Bevivino presented the work entitled “Microbiome-based solution and soil improvers as green biofertilizer for agri-food system sustainability and healthy soil.” Microbiome-based solutions and the strategic importance of microbiological indicators of the health and fertility status of agricultural soils were discussed.
