DeliSoil Showcased at “Aperitivo Tecnico Pomodoro 2025”
On 29 July 2025, the DeliSoil project was in the spotlight at Aperitivo Tecnico Pomodoro 2025, a public meeting held at the Stuard experimental farm, the project’s lighthouse site in Italy.
The event featured field visits to experimental tomato plots linked to both Italian and European research projects, including DeliSoil. Visitors had the chance to learn first-hand about the project’s goals and activities, with Caterina Agrimonti, Sara Graziano, Giuseppe Lamanna, and Vittorio Scanferla presenting DeliSoil’s work and engaging directly with participants.
The DeliSoil demonstration plots drew significant interest, particularly around the innovative approaches being tested for the application of soil improvers and the use of microbial consortia to support healthy tomato production.
Participants represented a diverse audience, from academic researchers to seed companies and biofertiliser manufacturers. The event not only strengthened awareness of DeliSoil’s research but also fostered connections with local producers. Several companies even expressed interest in joining the project’s Regional Working Groups, highlighting the value of bridging research with practice.
By participating in events like Aperitivo Tecnico Pomodoro 2025, DeliSoil continues to share its research with wider audiences, encourage dialogue across the agri-food sector, and ensure that soil health solutions are co-developed with those who will use them.
