DeliSoil Featured as Part of CAP Network Ireland Innovation Spotlight
DeliSoil has been recently highlighted in CAP Network Ireland’s Innovation Spotlight series.
This feature showcases the groundbreaking work DeliSoil is doing to restore soil health and promote sustainability through circular agricultural solutions.
With over 60% of EU soils deemed unhealthy, DeliSoil is tackling this pressing challenge by repurposing food industry byproducts into high-value soil improvers and bio-based fertilisers. This innovative approach reduces waste, enhances soil vitality, and contributes to a more sustainable agricultural system.
As part of the Innovation Spotlight, DeliSoil’s key achievements and goals were showcased:
- Establishing five Regional Living Labs where farmers, researchers, industries, and communities collaborate to create tailored soil health solutions.
- Developing cost-effective methods to convert food industry side-streams into sustainable soil enhancers.
- Identifying and addressing technological, financial, legislative, and social barriers to ensure project success.
- Raising public awareness about the benefits of circular agriculture through knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Thank you to CAP Network Ireland for this opportunity to share our vision and advance the conversation on soil health and sustainability. Together, we are building a greener, more resilient agricultural future!
