DeliSoil Showcases Circular Solutions for Soil Health at Mission Soil Week 2025 in Aarhus
DeliSoil took part in the European Mission Soil Week 2025, held in Aarhus, Denmark, from 5-6 November. The event brought together researchers, policymakers, and innovators from across Europe to exchange knowledge, showcase progress, and strengthen collaboration in advancing soil health and resilience.
As one of the projects featured on the Mission Soil Project Trail, DeliSoil joined other EU Mission Soil-funded initiatives in presenting tangible innovations and insights driving Europe’s soil transformation. Under the Circular Economy theme, DeliSoil collaborated closely with its sister project, Waste4Soil, to highlight how circular approaches can reconnect organic waste streams with soil regeneration. Together, the projects demonstrated how returning valuable nutrients to the soil supports sustainable land management and fosters resource efficiency.
The Project Trail guided visitors through six interconnected themes central to Europe’s soil mission:
-
Soil Data
-
Biodiversity
-
Pollution & Soil Restoration
-
Carbon Farming
-
Awareness & Engagement
-
Circular Economy
At its interactive exhibit, DeliSoil presented practical examples of how organic residues and biowaste can be transformed into soil-improving materials. Visitors explored the project’s integrated approach linking soil restoration, waste valorisation, and local value chains – all contributing to healthier, more productive, and climate-resilient soils.
Mission Soil Week 2025 provided an important platform for dialogue and collaboration among Europe’s soil community. Through participation in this event, DeliSoil reinforced its commitment to supporting the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” and to advancing research and innovation that promote soil health as a foundation for a sustainable and regenerative future.
